As per Arcade Colony whitepaper, 1,000,000,000 COLONY tokens (4.76% of max supply) were assinged to initial fork and airdrop. 194,280,106.793 COLONY was issued at the time of launch of Arcade Colony Platform during fork. The remaining balance for airdrop is 805,719,893.207 COLONY. This airdrop will happen for next five years to users who have staked SPS in Splinterlands or staked GLX in Genesis League Sports (or Genesis League Goals).
Qualification Criteria for Colony Airdrop
50% of the airdrop balance will be dropped to staked SPS holders while remaining 50% of the airdrop balance will be dropped to staked GLX holders. To qualify for the SPS airdrop share, users need to have atleast 5000 SPS or more staked on Splinterlands. Similarly, to qualify for GLX airdrop share, users need to have atleast 10,000 GLX or more staked on Genesis League Sports (or Genesis League Goals).

Airdrop Distribution
805,719,893.207 COLONY will be airdropped over 5 years. 50% of the airdrop balance will be dropped to staked SPS holders while remaining 50% of the airdrop balance will be dropped to staked GLX holders. Airdrop distribution is designed in such a way that less airdrop tokens quantity increases each year to ensure a slower supply rate at start and award longterm stakers of the platform. Following table show the colony tokens that will be airdropped each year.

Snapshot will be taken daily at 14:00 UTC (~12:00 PM EST) and tokens will be aidropped to all accounts that qualify shortly after the snapshot is completed. ~28,800 COLONY will be airdropped every day for first year (365 days) for each platform (i.e. Splinterlands and GLS). It will be distributed equally among all the qulaified participants based on their staked balances. For example, if total staked SPS for snapshot is 500,000,000 SPS (500M SPS) and a user is staking 5,000,000 SPS (5M SPS) for that day, they would qualify for 1% of the airdrop for that day.
Claiming the Airdrop
All users need to make sure is that they have required GLX or SPS staked on the relevant platforms. Please see support guides. Snapshot will be taken daily at 14:00 UTC (~12:00 PM EST) and tokens will be aidropped to all accounts that qualify shortly after the snapshot is completed. Please make sure to have tokens staked well before the snapshot to avoid any discrepencies. Staking during the snapshot may not gaurentee that day airdrp, but you should qualify for next day airdrop as usual. Airdrop will be added to claim balances on https://www.arcadecolony.com/ and user should be able to claim airdrop tokens at their preferrable time. Once claimed, tokens will arrive to user balances soon. There may be an initial day just after the snapshot is done, as users rush to claim their tokens. We recommend showing patience and claim a few hours after the snapshot to avoid any delays.
